Penelope Vasquez
Biography

A survivor of revolution, hurricane and earthquake, Penelope, whose professional experiences have taken her to Argentina, Spain, Venezuela, Nicaragua, the Caribbean, and now to the USA, was born and educated in England.

Prior to emigrating to the USA in 1981, Penelope's travels and work include tourism in Spain; working with the Argentine Embassy in Jamaica; and then to Venezuela and Nicaragua, where for six years she joined the corporate world of the Bank of America, and became the head of Operations for the Venezuela Representative Office of 60 persons.

With over 16 years experience in the hospitality industry in the USA, Penelope has a firm commitment to the highest level of service and the ability to listen to people from all walks of life. Together with her husband, Marcelo, she successfully owned and operated three restaurants, one of which achieved national acclaim.

Penelope spent a year on one of the out-islands of the Bahamas, Eleuthera, where she worked in a voluntary capacity at the local primary school, in the settlement of Rock Sound, assisting with the first three grades of special children.

After surviving revolution, hurricane and earthquake, there's very little that proves an insurmountable challenge!

Penelope joined Mike Baker in real estate in 1999 and is settled in Santa Fe. As a partnership, they are committed to "Old World Service."

She is a great protagonist of the lifestyle here and an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors.
